El Born

El Born is situated in the centre of Barcelona and is home to some of the most unique shops in Barcelona. With local designers creating quality products that shape the culture and fashion of the city, it’s hard not to spend money in this cutting-edge district. Some of the best places to visit in El Born include Carrer del Rec, Carrer de la Princesa, Carrer dels Flassaders and Carrer de l'Argenteria.

Portal de l’Angel is a wide pedestrian avenue situated between plaza Catalunya and Barcelona cathedral. It is one of the most popular areas and has international brands adorning the street such as H&M, Bershka, and Zara, as well as local shops selling all sorts of products.
If you go on the weekend, it’s best to go around 10am - 12am to avoid the busiest part of the day.

Rambla de Catalunya

The Rambla de Catalunya is the most famous street in the city and stretches for 1.2 kilometres. Along this pedestrianised avenue, you’ll find famous brands including Misako, Panama Jack, Sephora, Intimissimi, United Colors of Benetton and Massimo Dutti, as well as art galleries, eateries, and luxury hotels. It’s the perfect place to spend a day and spend some money in the abundant range of stores on offer!

La Boqueria is one of the most famous and popular markets in Barcelona. Situated on La Rambla de Catalunya, it offers around 300 stalls, selling a variety of products such as fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, sea food, sweets, nuts, as well as tapas and other takeaway items. If you want to avoid the busy times, come at 8am.

La Maquinista

La Maquinista

La Maquinista is one of the largest shopping centres in Barcelona, with over 230 different shops. Stroll through the centre, which is an open air shopping centre, and enjoy browsing brands including Apple, Adidas, Foot Locker, Intersport and Swarovski. Once you’ve done your shopping, head over to the restaurant area to have a bite to eat before enjoying a movie at the centre’s multiplex cinema.
