TOURING THE MEDITERRANEAN COAST ON A ONE DAY TRIP
Girona is 103 kilometers Northeast of Barcelona. Founded around 76 BC, it was declared a city by Alfonso I of Aragón in the 11th century, and the 12th century the Jewish community flourished. The Call, the old Jewish quarter, is one of the best preserved in Europe.
We will then go to the Santuari dels Angels, the summit of the del Puig Alt (485 m) where Salvador Dalí married Gala, and a site of spectacular views of the region. Next stop of this Public Tour is the medieval town of Pals where we will stop for lunch, and head to the fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell, passing the Botanic Gardens at Cap Roig and Begur and see the 16th century castle.
