Flamenco Shows Barcelona

Flamenco embodies a complex cultural amd musical tradition. Originating from the region of Andalusia flamenco arose as a mix of Arabic, Andalusian, Sephardic and Gypsy cultures that existed in the region around the time of the Reconquest.

Barcelona has three unique venues where you can enjoy a fantastic display of this wonderful music, song and dance form.

Flamenco with a fantastic buffet dinner

Founded in 1970, and decorated by the best artesans in the nazari art form from Granada, this flamenco venue has achieved great prestige in Spain. Grand figures of flamenco such as Camaron, Farruco and Manuela Carrasco have all performed on stage in this intimate venue located on La Rambla. Feast upon a buffet composed of a variety of cold and hot dishes, including a delicious paella.

Flamenco in an unbeatable setting

Top quality shows based on the purest traditions. A 75 minute show with the participation of well-known artists, accompanied by promising young artists, alternates a mix of the different forms of flamenco -- music, song and dance.

The show is staged within the Poble Espanyol (Spanish village) which showcases a wealth and variety of Spanish architecture, with replicas of the most representative buildings of each Spanish region.

Tapas Menu:

Selection of cold meats with bread and tomato, marinated cheese, spicy potatoes brava style, small green peppers "Padrón" style, squid, Andalusian style.

Dinner Menu:

Gazpacho, vichyssoise, consommé with Sherry, cream of seasonal vegetables.

PALACIO DEL FLAMENCO

Great value meal & show

The newest flamenco venue in Barcelona, Palacio del Flamenco is larger (with a capacity of 450 people) and more modern than Cordobes and Carmen. Palacio del Flamenco also offers a cheaper menu alternative -- 45 € for the show and a paella and crema catalana meal.

Currently Palacio del Flamenco is offering a show called "El Duende del Palacio" (The Goblin of the Palace) presented by a cast of 15 artists on stage. Flamenco singers, dancers, guitar players and other musicians are offering a powerful staging and musical event. A journey through different types of Flamenco provides the Flamenco lover with the opportunity to participate intensely in this art performance while the amateur audience will be able to enjoy a wonderful and unforgettable Flamenco night in Barcelona.
