Artistic Barcelona
HALF DAY CITY TOUR
On this excursion you will see:
From Passeig de Gracia, the most expensive avenue in Spain with its Modernista architecture and luxury shops, to the Gothic Quarter with its narrow medieval alleys built 2000 years ago when Barcelona was one of the most important merchant cities in the Mediterranean. The Picasso museum hosts 3,800 works and is a key reference to understanding the formative years of Picasso and his relationship to Barcelona. Here you can also see the famous Medinas from 1957.
In this public city tour you will see:
- 1 Gaudí houses in Passeig de Gracia: La Pedrera and Casa Battló.
- 2 Gaudí's Sagrada Familia, where you will stop for around 30 minutes.
- 3 La Monumental: the bull ring (1914). Its style is a mixture of Mudéjar (Moors) and Byzantine.
- 4 Santa Maria del Mar, an imposing church built between 1329 and 1383 in the Gothic Quarter.
- 5 Picasso Museum.
- 6 Here you can come back to the bus terminal or visit the museum.
